Product Description

As recommended by the updated 2015 CPR Guidelines, Prestan has taken its innovative and patented CPR Rate Monitor to the next level of quality feedback. When students are practicing CPR compressions on a Prestan Professional Adult Manikin, not only will they see when they have reached and are maintaining the minimum recommended speed of 100 cpm, they will also see when they reach the upper limit of 120 cpm - the yellow monitor light will flash rapidly to let them know! It's easy to install this feedback device into Prestan Professional Series adult CPR manikins. The only tools needed are a flat head screwdriver and a philips head screwdriver. Check out the installation instructions in the downloads below.

New review (11/24/15): These worked initially, but quickly stopped working after I bought them. Months later, I finally followed up with MRC Medical Supply for help getting them working. They were quick to send out replacement parts and pre-paid packaging to send the old ones back, but they (Ashley from MRC) also followed up looking into other options. She found a document from Prestan explaining how to clean the clicker device to possibly correct the problem. I followed the instructions figuring they wouldn't work based on how clean the clicker device appeared upon disassembly. Nonetheless, I followed the instructions and ka-pow!... it worked! So these monitors are great when they work, and if they're not working, it may not be them. It might be other parts of the manikin causing the problem.Old review: I teach CPR as my full time job and I bought these for my Prestan manikins, but I'm not very happy with them. The battery casing must not hold the batteries in very well because they're constantly intermittent in their functionality. It's pretty often that just don't work. I'm talking right out of the box. I just bought them and I'm having problems from the start. They do come with very low quality batteries and they die fast, so of course I use better batteries, but for OEM equipment I expect much better than these faulty and unreliable monitors. They are easy to install and work great for our prestan cpr manikins. Our students love the fact that they can see their performance on the lights and feel more confidentUnfortunately this product came without the screws to install it. I emailed the provider but never got a response, or the screws! Very disappointed. Was a snap to install. Show depth and rate including when compressions are too fast.Bought these because I thought they were going to be the white monitors as displayed in the pictures but got the blue ones. I find the blue ones distracting as they notify you when you go over 105 bpm. I like to manually slow my students down and ordered because I wanted the monitors without the additional feature.Ok productvery helpful tools for the new studentsThese blue units are the latest version. The white ones referenced above in the 1 star rating (SMH) are no longer AHA compliant for the exact reason the person states for their dissatisfaction.
