The retail disc version was created almost a month before the game was released. This means that by the time people received it, it already had updates. These days games are not complete at launch, but in this case it was a good thing. If you want the game to be more like a simulation, then you can get it with all the updates, but if you like more enjoyable, fun and easier to pick-up-and-play games... get this one. We might not see one like it again! On console (XB1) you just install it offline and never update it. Unfortunately the PC version updates during installation, so you have to use a different method to get the original version (27 March 2020, 18,8GB) off of the DVDs. It doesn't matter if you use the first or last version of this game, it is still the best MotoGP game around.
