Great old simulator from the time that it arises - in the era of flight sim 2000, you had crash dynamics, engine exhaust, wheel rotation & TCAS, all from this sim. I was surprised I found the copy that I did. As a flight simulator veteran from 95 - X, I actually very much enjoy using this little old sim because it runs like a joy on my 2009 2.26 ghtz 4gb macbook. Extending runways & adding afterburners to the 747 are just a few things that make this unique. I hope that anyone who picks up this product will have as much fun out of it as I have.I actually got ahold of laminar research for a inquiry I had concerning the product and the developer that I talked to (who was part of the original team that developed this product) asked me if I had made a mistake or something - as to why I would buy such an outdated product. I told him that I had intentionally purchased it because of the ease of operation of this version of x-plane as opposed to the frame rate vampire, version 9 (and so on, though I didn't say THAT, lol) and also because of the small data footprint of the product and he still seemed a little puzzled as to why I would've spent around $10 when I could've purchased 9 for 20. He said they didn't even dream of the type of computers that are available today when they were designing the product, or if it even WORKS on a modern computer. I didn't get the inquiry answered, but I was able to thank him for developing such a good product, and he told me quite staunchly, "you are welcome!."
