The game loaded fine for me on win 7 but not xp. The joystick worked fine as well, though I did need to reinstall my flight stick (in control panel/devices) the problem I have is that the controls are way to sensitive. I set the sensitivity as low as possible but it is still impossible to control the plain. I can only assume it was made for a game pad and not a flight stick.Very few combat games these days are simple and fun to play. Complexity, realism, graphics, immersion, etc...are the norm. Not all of us have the time and patience to invest in a game.Air Conflict is fun right out of the box. It installed easily on Windows 7. There was only a breif time online to enter a code number. It doesn't even require the disk to play. You can go directly to air-to-air dogfighting in seconds.Now there are many options once you familiarize yourself with the aircraft. You can go on story driven campaigns. You can play with the keyboard, mouse, joystick, or my favorite - the Xbox 360 controller. You can even set it to be closer to a flight simulator if you are into that. But the beauty is that you don't have to be. If you just want to spend 10 or 15 shooting bad guys, you can.This may not appeal to everyone, but it a god send for those of us who are overwhelmed by many of todays games.With an older computer I was concerned, but it work fine.Not that greatThe game loaded fine, looks like a fun game. but the controller was the issue, need xbox 360, showed joystick in playbook to run, game., but when you go to the game to set it, it doesn't show it. To many issues to play this game.It's a first person shooter game inside the cockpit of a plane. It's 1940 air planes you can go on a mission or dog fight in different environments. I was disappointed the logitech or the thrustmaster joystick won't go insinic with the game. The xbox 360 wired controller does the job.This is the second time I ignored my instincts and bought used. But I wanted to replace this game since the original was lost to my Windows 8 upgrade. It's not expensive and for just sheer fun with my joystick this game cannot be beat. You do not need fancy equipment or accessories, download and play. I will never buy another used video game from anybody!air conflicts is not a bad game . i was looking for one like fighter ace and this was the closes one . not as good as fighter ace but it's up there .
