You, as El Presidente, will first take control of the infamous island of Tropico during early colonial times and then guide it through the centuries as the world changes and moves ever forward. You must tackle the changing needs of your people, as well as opposing governments and factions, and thus lay the foundations for your own dynasty. As you move through your years in office you can promote members of your extended family on the island to positions of power: such as ambassador, commanding general or even Supreme Ruler, to ensure your legacy thrives through the eras. As your influence and wealth grows, so do the threats to your burgeoning island superpower. Can you survive both World Wars, prosper through the Great Depression, rule as an iron-fisted dictator through the Cold War and advance your country to modern times and beyond? Since the First Game of the Tropico Series came out, I was a huge fan!with every sequel, the game just got better and better, its like the developers really knew what else we gamers are missing in the game, and added it and improved the game more and more!Tropico 5 how ever was a Giant Finger in my face!not only it completely tossed away any connection to other Tropico Games, it is all so full of Bugs causes Fatal Crashes and is completely unplayable.Tropico 5, doesn't look at all like Tropico and is more like "Anno" or "Port Royal" style, something we "Tropico" Fans really weren't looking for!the graphics now are cheap and cheesy! the game play is lazy and unoriginal gets boring way too quickly!I cant believe I threw my money to the trash!don't make my mistake! don't buy this Horrible Abomination! it should be called "Tropico"! its "Anno - in the Caribbean's"
