I read some of the bad reviews and I have to say it was not as bad as all that, considering it's a bargain bin hidden objects game. If you don't like hidden object games, you probably won't like this one, either. But if you find them relaxing, then it's a pretty cool (albeit short) one! Since the storyline involves mental illness there are some cool effects to make some hunts more challenging, like spots and wavy lines when your character is having a "migraine", or lights flickering on and off when something is wrong with the electricity.There's a little bit of tedium in how the interface is designed; after you find the objects you need to complete a task, you have to open object windows on the task and manually move the items you need onto the task in order to complete it. This would make sense if you had to choose from available options, but usually you have only and exactly the items you need for the one task, so I don't think they needed that extra step of selecting which things to use.The atmosphere is creepy and the storyline is interesting, especially if you haven't seen the movie and don't know how it's going to end. Overall it was a good diversion/relaxation game, like most HOGs, totally worth the $7 price tag ;)I liked the book and the movie, so when I saw there was a PC game version, I bought it! Fortunately, I only wasted $6.00 because this is a _very_ clunky game. It's got nice-looking spooky graphics and follows the plot of the story, but the interface is overwrought and annoying. These pointless quotes pop up in the middle of the screen that you have to click to remove. Objects you find go into a "file" area which is fine, but getting them back out again requires more clicks than necessary. Frankly, I stopped playing after the second level or location or whatever.Spend your money on an actual fun seek-and-find adventure game, like the Dream Chronicles series!i really bought this game for my mom to play on her computer. but it did'nt work. she has an old computer that she just plays games on it and i thought tis would be a change for her. she also does'nt have the internet. that could be also why it did'nt work. so i kept it for my self. i played it before and it's fun so i'm happy in the long run.This is just a basic hidden object game. Graphics are OK but nothing to write home about. This game had potential but falls flat for entertainment value. Very amateurish puzzles were no challenge at all. The game ends rather abruptly (apparently, the designers had a short deadline) and was very disappointing. Bottom line - don't waste your money on this one. You should be seeing this in the free pile shortly.Great game! Love the hidden objects games and puzzles!I read the negative reviews all saying the game was too easy but decided to try it anyway since I'm not an experienced gamer. I love it! I look for relaxing games with good graphics and interesting atmosphere and this one provided all the above. No need for a 'walkthrough" since it is straight forward and the story is interesting. Have not seen the movie so really had no expectations. Nice, interesting and enjoyable game for when you just want to relax and not strain the brain or eyes.The game does follow the story line well, but realy is not all that challanging. For the price find a better game!I bought this game for my dad and he likes it when it does't cause his computer to freeze or game doesn't unexpectedly quit. Can't really say much else about the game.
