Rarely does an off-brand product not only meet, but WILDLY exceed your expectations. This display is a real gem! I bought this to serve as a portable display for my Nintendo Switch, to serve as a handy display when working with Raspberry Pis and other SBCs, and to serve as a portable second screen with my laptop when I'm travelling and have content to produce on the road. This display DELIVERS!First, there may have been a revision in this batch as I have had none of the green coloration at first startup mentioned in other reviews - in fact, the colors were pretty much perfect out of the box with no adjustment. The menu was also correctly set to English.Measuring with an in-line USB power monitor, this display draws 500 mA at the lowest brightness setting and 1 A at 100% brightness. I'm finding that 80% brightness is plenty bright in my office with the lights on.The back of the display has a 75mm VESA mounting pattern. This uses M4 screws to mount it. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that the case has a bit of stop in the mounting holes to keep you from torquing into the back of the display panel itself. Be VERY careful when mounting as you could possibly run the screws in too far and damage the panel.As others have stated, the speakers are nothing to write home about, but the headphone port can feed headphones or an external speaker just fine. There is a volume adjustment in the menu.The overall fit and finish of the product is impressive. It looks and feels like quality. It feels sturdy but is very lightweight.The only outstanding question I have is whether or not there is a voltage regulator connected to the "DC" port. The unit includes a 5V power supply with the appropriately sized barrel connector to use that port. I have found a product that looks identical to this one on Newegg (even has the same display and size statistics) and it reports that the Newegg one is 12V compatible. I may try to open this up and examine the board to determine whether or not a voltage regulator is present. With a USB port, this should be a relatively moot point, however.Overall, I recommend this display if you have need for something small, light-weight, and high quality. I like this thing so much that I would be interested in picking up some other Elecrow displays (such as the black 11.6" version). I hope we will see more displays from them that run off of 5V/USB power, as it is so very convenient. I will report back if I have any issues or other discoveries as I continue to make use of this product.
