Fun fun fun! That's all I can say about Defense Grid. If you have a spouse, get ready for some couples therapy because he/she will be mad at you for the hours you devote to this game. With nice graphics, great effects (love the explosions) and great sound... Okay, our raspberry loving computerized tour guide can be a little irritating at times. But Mr. Movie voice and his raspberries aside, this is an awesome game. Wave after wave of different robots, multiplying and becoming increasingly difficult to kill with each successive stage. It starts out easy enough, but it starts to get pretty hectic, as your initial available funds at the beginning of stages seems to decrease while the robot enemies INCREASE disproportionally (think salaries vs real estate prices from 1990-2008). Regardless, it makes the game more fun and challenging to pinch your pennies and hold off the invading hordes until you can amass enough coin to buy some proper weaponry. Speaking of good weaponry, there are some good weapons in the arsenal. And you will need all of them to successfully make it to the end, regardless of how weak they seem early in the game. Great graphics, super addictive game play, good price. I use it on a Win Vista machine. I really can't find any straight answers anywhere Win 7 compatibility, so I play it on an older Vista box just to be on the safe side.
