I already knew I'd be downloading the game via Steam, so that wasn't a problem for me... took about 6 hours. It fired up cleanly and after adjusting (down) some of the video specs (my PC is high-end i7/16gigs, etc. but my card is the minimum required - GTX 660). However, the detail, rendering, texture and resolution is still very nice - more than adequate! And, I might add being a graphic designer, I revel in the 'Steam Punk' environment. I've not run into any issues with game play or stuttering (yet), so I'm not sure what all the complaints are about. Personally, I love this game! So many choices, so much to explore... many side missions, some downright 'scary' - high replay value with each of two characters. The inhabitants are very well textured and the AI is even better than the first game. I was going to upgrade my video card, but after several hours of game play, I see no need. I ran through the new Doom and was glad to be done with it... this one, however, I'm going to savor!
