It's a very fun game when you get into it but somewhat limited.The pros:-Accurate representation of the tabletop game-Gameplay is smooth and interesting-Very strategy based-Campaign like system makes every game interesting-Single player and multiplayer tournament and league styles allow for a wide range of formats-Graphics aren't great but get the job doneThe cons:-Computer players can get predictable in play style-When playing other people there is a high tendency for games to not come to completion due to the game simulating to end any time a player accidentally leaves. I would really like to see it give you the option to allow players more time to return for games with friends or family when you know your opponent will be right back and only momentarily lost signal.-Races are very imbalanced. Some races (goblins) are unplayable while others have somewhat of an unfair advantage. It would be nice to see this balanced more.-Team limitations: Some teams have only a few options while others have many different types of characters, the game could be improved by adding just a few types of players to the races to make them mor customizable and interesting.I am used to playing the miniatures game version of blood bowl, so it is neat to see different stadiums and other animations.I have been dissapointed with the AI, as others have been. It is far too easy to crush the computer, even on the most difficult levels. There are also a few bugs with the rules which can be confusing, as well as the odd way the game tries to set up your players on kick offs.However, it is a great way to experiment with new teams and builds. Playing on line games against real opponents also takes care of the challenged AI. Seeing animated versions of the players I have only known as static miniatures is a blast!It may be that i'm a long time fan of the game. But the game just does not thrill me as any of the other versions. It doesnt feel complete, which it isnt, just go to their website to realize why i say that. Also some of the controls dont feel as intuitive as in some versions of the game.My opinion, wait for the new version.This is a very addicting game. For a beginner, it can be difficult to pick up all the rules and all the finer aspects on how to play; but overall, once you get the hang of things, you might never stop playing. I love that this is a two player, turn based game. And just like fantasy football, you can get very into the details of what each team member can offer.Pretty good game. Its highly addictive. This game is alright compared to the latest "Legendary Edition" whose subtleties really makes a difference. Overall, cant go wrong for the price.Even though it's a windows game it wont run the opening sequence on my computer, even after trying patches, the listed e mail for support isn't a good address.I have to admit, I haven't played the realtime mode even once - for me, I have no need. This is a great adaptation of one of Games Workshop's greatest games. Watching a team grow, feeling like the players gain personality and uniqueness, it's great fun.Feels like the board game, with better graphics.
