Game is ok but not worth the full price i paid.I have been a fan of battlefield for a long time, had bad company 2, bf3 and bf4 and played about 200 hours on the bf4.but this game is smaller maps, less things to do, cant even take out car tyres and limited weapons.Basically the Call of Duty of the battlefield series.I went into battlefield after COD: black ops as battlefield meant alot more for what you get, and now they seem to have gone back a step.I hope the new dlcs come out with bigger maps and an overall update for things like, stingers for tyres and more destruction, more weapons, basically more choice in things to do.Cant wait for Battlefield 5: Armageddon to bring it back for me, but im guessing they made this game for the COD players to get used to battlefield and bring them up to date with what they have and then release the new title just to amaze us in the difference.1st off as I already had Origin it wouldn't install from the disc kept saying to install Origin but then kept saying after Origin is up to dateso I just used the key code and downloaded it. But if you got the disc to save the download you'll have to uninstall Origin first then install it from the discGame playsingle play good story OK game playonline ok at first then gets a grind same stuff over again Car chase was funthis wasn't worth the price this should have been a DLC for BF4 not a stand alone gameI went back to BF4 and BF3This refers to the multiplayer only, I have not yet played single player campaign. The multiplayer was good fun for the first few hours. The hotwire game mode has you fighting over specific vehicles on the map and then driving them at a speed to earn points (similar to conquest mode but with vehicles as capture points). This can be a lot of fun when team mates are leaning out the window shooting at passing cars, it can make for some great car chases. Unfortunately, the game suffers from balance issues. One of the upgrades you can spend money on is an RPG that you can get out of the boot of your car which will instantly kill other vehicles (except the heavy armoured vehicles). So after a few hours, a lot of people have the RPG upgrade which leads to two things; 1. Risk driving out into the map and getting killed very quickly or 2. Driving the hotwired cars in circles next to your base. Neither makes for good gameplay. Heist is also an interesting take on the rush game mode where the attackers have to break into a vault and steal loot and take it to an extraction point. One thing I did like was if the attackers reach an extraction point but failed to deliver the package, the extraction would dynamically change, so the defenders couldn't fortify a position, but they would have to move as well. Bloodmoney is a twist on capture the flag where teams fight over a central cash point in the middle of map and have to return money to the vault in their base. At the same time teams can steal from the others vault, so if one team locks down the central area, you can be sneaky and steal from their vault and earn cash for your team that way. Both good game modes and can lead to some epic moments. Sadly this overshadowed by the lack of variety of weapons and the fact that certain weapons are flat out better than others. At the time of writing this, the M16, M416, and K10 are top dogs, and not using them puts you at a disadvantage, there is no reason to use anything else. These guns are very accurate and kills very quickly, so expect to die almost instantly, unlike BF4 where you can 'feel' the incoming damage and react to it.The overpowered weapons and availability of RPGs makes for frustrating and unvaried gameplay. The lack of depth and response from the developers to balance the game has lead to me to stop playing after a month, which is a shame as I really wanted to like this game; was hoping it would be another Bad Company 2, but alas it wasn't. I just feel sorry for those who bought 'Premium' as there have been no premium features released yet. This is nothing more than a DLC pack for BF4 and the numbers prove it, just check out bfhstats.com and bf4stats.com and compare the number of players still playing each of those. Hardline has dwindling numbers yet BF4 has a higher numbers and more stable player base. My advice, avoid this and get BF4 instead, and even when this does turn up cheap in a few months/years, just check there are people still playing it!WHILE PLAYING IT UNDER NORMAL DIFFICULTY: Only played Episode 1 and it'e the most frustrating game seeing enemies don't fall ie) during the Latchford mansion. For that it's a miss and I've played many shooters. I've even restarted the mission.AFTER ONLY PLAYING A SCENE AT A BEGINNERS LEVEL: I love this game so much that I cannot give this a complete five star rating! It's different and at times, I wondered if the game could become boring after all, I was at most parts arresting criminals if they didn't resist. It's a refreshing change and I would recommend this game to EVERYONE.(If you would like to know how to complete the Latchford mansion scene, READ ON: Just take cover and try to break the intruders line of sight at the Beginner's level.)The story mode single player game is a bit of a mediocre tale and nothing special. I sank around 80+ hours into multiplayer (mostly the “Heist” game with cars), but now it’s all a bit predictable and boring as everyone floods the playing field with what seems like an endless barrage of Sabotage, Mines, C4 explosives, Grenade launchers, Grenades, and Rocket launchers. Personally I never found the action as exciting as they portrayed in the multiplayer advertising videos that hit the internet. It’s supposed to be cops and robbers but is little more than Battlefield 4 in a different wrapper. To me it just feels like all did was swap-out the BF4 tanks for cars.I found this game can be fun at times, but in hindsight would have waited for it to drop a lot in price as it inevitably will. It’s is simply not worth the big bucks EA wanted for it at launch. I know others have already said it - and I do tend to agree with them that this game feels like a big DLC pack for BF4 rather than a proper stand alone game.At the time of writing I believe they are going to address some of the excessive amounts of explosives in game with a patch, so will wait and see if it becomes worth playing again in the future.
